As a fully qualified and experienced psychotherapist, I provide therapy for individuals, couples and groups.
To help me serve my clients’ needs, I bring to the therapeutic session a variety of skills and abilities that span a training and work history of more than 30 years.
I have a BA in Psychology from York University and a Graduate Diploma from The Centre for Training in Psychotherapy (CTP). I am a member of the Ontario Society of Psychotherapists (OSP); past member of the Ontario Society for Training and Development; the Actors Association of Canadian TV and Radio Artists; past Chair, Cdn. Association of Statutory Human Rights Agencies; past member of the Ontario Association for Children with Learning Disabilities; the Committee on Sex-Role Sterotyping in Advertising; the Multicultural and Anti-Racist Educators’ Network; and past board member of Oolagen House (transitional home for persons challenged by substance addiction).
In addition to my psychotherapy practice, I have provided strategic coaching and counselling to the private and public sectors for the past 20 years on such issues as staff development, anger management, harassment, and staff relations. I taught Conflict Resolution and Dispute Negotiation at Ryerson Polytechnic University, and have extensive experience as a writer and broadcaster.
My fees are $90 for individuals and $100 for couples for a 60-minute hour. Groups cost $30 for 1 1/2 hours once a week for eight months. I offer both women’s groups and mixed groups.
